IPL Players Minimum Bid Amount

The auction for the players will be held somewhere in the middle of the month. But he are some figures that are being quoted for the various players. These are base figures and rough estimates only. The final figures may be lot higher or lesser than the numbers quoted here.

Sachin Tendulkar - $400,000

Sourav Ganguly -$400,000

Rahul Dravid-$400,000

Yuvraj Singh-$400,000

Mahendra Singh Dhoni-$400,000

The first 4 players will be playing for their home teams and will not be auctioned. Instead they are assured a flat 15% more than the highest bid of the IPL player auction.

The IPL board has prepared a list of 31 Indian players and 53 foreign players for the tournament. Others are still joining or have expressed their willingness to be part of the event.

Foreign players have been signed up for varying amounts

Shane Warne was signed up for $400,000 - making him the most expensive player of the tournament apart from the 5 Indian players called the IPL icons.

Former Aussie fast bowler Glenn McGrath- $350,000

New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming, - $350,000.

Apart from this other Indian players quotes doing the rounds are

Anil Kumble and Harbhajan - $250,000

Virender Sehwag, Sreesanth, Zaheer Khan, RP Singh, Robin Uthappa, Murali Kartik and Dinesh Karthik - $200,000

Irfan Pathan - $175,000

Rohit Sharma - $150,000

Mohd Kaif, Suresh Raina and Yousuf Pathan- $125,000

Joginder Sharma-$110,000

Munaf Patel and Ishant Sharma-$100,000

Players from other countries are being quoted at various prices in these bands

Latest players to join the IPL bandwagon include Salman Butt, Misbah and Sohail Khan. They are in the price range of $125,000 - $150,000.
